Week 7 Update – 2026 Campaign

We’ve officially wrapped up Week 7 of the 2026 State Combined Campaign!

At this point, some of your coworkers have already made their pledges, some are still deciding which organizations to support, and some may have completely forgotten that the campaign is happening. (We won’t take it personally 😉)

That’s why this week’s featured resource is all about keeping the conversation going and making sure every employee has an opportunity to participate!

Resource of the Week: The Mid-Campaign Check-In

Sometimes, the most effective fundraising strategy isn’t a fancy event or elaborate incentive. It’s simply a friendly reminder!

With seven weeks behind us, now is a great time to check in with your department and give employees another opportunity to learn about the State Combined Campaign.

Here are a few ways to make your mid-campaign check-in count:

  • Send a friendly reminder. Share the Online Pledge Form with your coworkers and remind them how easy it is to participate through payroll deduction or credit card.
  • Put the impact front and center. Share a story from one of our charity partners or highlight an organization doing meaningful work in your community.
  • Make it personal. Tell your coworkers why you choose to give or invite someone in your department to share a cause that’s especially meaningful to them.
  • Celebrate your progress. Let employees know how close your department is to its fundraising goal and thank those who have already participated.
  • Try something different. If the usual emails aren’t getting much attention, consider a quick announcement at your next staff meeting, a friendly departmental challenge, or one of the creative fundraising ideas featured last week.

And remember, not every employee will participate—and that’s okay! Our goal is to make sure everyone has the information and opportunity to support a cause they care about, without feeling pressured to give.

Coordinator Challenge: Before the end of Week 8, make one intentional effort to reconnect with employees about the campaign. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, a thoughtful five-minute conversation can make more of an impact than five reminder emails!

Because at the end of the day, Giving Today, Changing Tomorrow starts with an invitation.

Where Are We At?

Seven weeks down, and there’s still plenty of opportunity to make an impact!

Total Pledged: $351,031.00
Total Donors: 3,044
Percent of Goal: 44.72%

We’re continuing to make progress toward our statewide goal of $785,000, though we’re still running a little behind last year’s pace.

But here’s the encouraging part: we have plenty of campaign left, and plenty of opportunities to build momentum!

With departments and agencies participating across Alabama, even modest increases in employee engagement can add up to meaningful statewide progress.

As we head into Week 8, let’s focus on reaching employees who haven’t yet had an opportunity to participate, celebrating those who have, and keeping the mission of SCC at the heart of every conversation.

We’re not at the finish line yet, and there’s still a lot of good we can accomplish together!

This Week’s Goal-Getters!

Who’s joining the 100% club this week?

Congratulations to our newest Goal-Getters! Your leadership and enthusiasm are helping move the campaign forward, one pledge at a time.

As always, thank you for the time, energy, and creativity you bring to your role as a campaign coordinator. We know you’re balancing these responsibilities alongside your regular work, and we genuinely appreciate your commitment to making SCC successful.

Let’s make Week 8 a great one!

Together, we’re Giving Today, Changing Tomorrow.
