Nine weeks down… it’s flying by!
Last week, we celebrated an exciting milestone: reaching 50% of our $785,000 statewide fundraising goal! That’s a testament to the generosity of Alabama’s state employees and the dedication of coordinators like you.
But we’re not stopping halfway! As we move into the second half of the campaign, this week’s featured resource is all about making progress visible, celebrating the little victories, and giving your coworkers something to rally around.
Resource of the Week: Goal Progress Thermometer
The temperatures outside may be cooling down, but we’re hoping your department’s fundraising efforts are just heating up!
Our Coordinator Hub features a Goal Progress Thermometer that you can use to track and display your department’s progress toward its SCC fundraising goal.

It’s a simple resource, but one that can make a big difference in keeping your campaign front and center.
Here are a few ways to put it to work:
- Make progress visible! Display your thermometer in a break room, near a shared bulletin board, or another high-traffic area where employees can see how their collective contributions are adding up.
- Celebrate the milestones. Reached 25%, 50%, or 75% of your department’s goal? Make a little noise about it! Recognizing progress along the way can help keep employees motivated.
- Start a friendly competition. Have multiple divisions or offices? Consider encouraging each to track its progress and celebrate participation together.
- Keep everyone in the loop. Include a photo or updated version of your thermometer in department-wide emails so employees can see how close you’re getting to the finish line.
Coordinator Challenge: Update your department’s progress thermometer this week and share it with employees. Whether you’re at 20% or 90%, every milestone is worth recognizing, and every new pledge moves that thermometer a little higher!
And remember, while reaching your fundraising goal is certainly worth celebrating, the real success of SCC is the impact those contributions make possible. Behind every percentage point are employees choosing to support causes that matter to them.

Total Donors: 3,666
Percent of Goal: 54.90%
Thanks to the continued generosity of state employees across Alabama, we’re making steady progress toward our $785,000 statewide goal.
But here’s the exciting part: we still have an opportunity to make the second half of this campaign even stronger than the first!
Every new donor, every additional pledge, and every conversation about the campaign helps move us forward.
As we move into November, let’s keep reaching employees who haven’t yet participated, celebrating departmental milestones, and sharing the stories behind the causes we’re supporting.
