“Pay it forward. It’s about Caring and Sharing. It’s about Compassion and Kindness. It’s about Generosity. It’s about Sacrifice…and Love. You get what you give so Give Good.” Marla Rae Anders

Your gifts, time and dollars, are truly gifts of compassion and kindness.  The generosity of Alabama’s State Employees is pivotal to the success of the SCC, however, it is truly the Coordinators and Keyworkers that make this campaign a success!  It is your dedication to making the SCC visible and available,  being a resource, and setting the example.  Your dedication and determination results in SCC charities be able to provide needed services to their communities and making life a little better for us all.

This week’s totals are a direct result of your hard work.  The Campaign is currently at 20.10%% or $157,750 contributed.  That’s 20% of our goal by the close of week 4.  Great job!  Let’s not lose the momentum.  Please see the attached reports for campaign totals.  Be sure to check out the comparison report.  Is your organization where it needs to be?

From time to time, I still meet State Employees who say no one asked them to give or really gave them a reason to give.  Our real opportunity to grow this campaign is growing participation.  Currently, participation is at 3.31%, or 1,089 out of 32,917 State Employees have given.  Please make certain that everyone is given the opportunity to participate.  Consider a testimonial to emotionally move someone to give.  Explain to them that the SCC gives State Employees to opportunity to give to the charity of their choice and that their dollars go to those charities of choice.  Let them know that their contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.  Remind that payroll deduction is an easy way to give, and for most, it is an easy way to give a little each month adding up to a large gift at the end of the year.

Congratulations to the following Department and Coordinators for achieving goal in Weeks 4:
